How Big is Baby?:
The size of an avocado! Now, she's about 4.6 inches long and weighs about 3.5 ounces, and she's big enough that your doctor may be able to hear her heartbeat.
Your Baby at 16 Weeks:
- She's listening to your voice, thanks to tiny bones forming in her ears.
- She's growing hair, lashes and eyebrows.
- And she's forming taste buds.
Week 16 according to me:
I feel exhausted all of the time. I'm still dealing with nausea and vomiting, but it's not constant all day anymore so that's a huge plus.
No particular cravings, but I feel like I am eating all of the time. I get hungry about every two hours. Even if I was stuffed to the gills, in about two hours I'll be hungry again! Like, stomach growling hungry. I don't remember being this way when I was pregnant with Sydney.
I don't know if it's possible this soon, but I swear I felt a big kick on Saturday. I was leaning up against a chair and felt what I think was a big kick right where the chair was pushing in on my stomach; baby must not have liked that too much.
We are looking forward to my appointment next month when we'll finally get to find out what we're having! I really don't care either way, but it's always exciting to find out.
